What is Rapid Transformational Therapy®?

Rapid Transformational Therapy®, or RTT®, is a trusted form of therapy developed by world-renowned therapist and best-selling author Marisa Peer that gets to the root cause of why we may feel stuck. Combining the best of hypnotherapy and behavioural psychology, it is a simple and powerful method that helps bring out the best in you, permanently.

 

RTT® is fast and effective, typically requiring only one to three sessions, and it can help bring about change where other methods have failed.

 

Sessions are 90 minutes to 2 hours long and conducted via Zoom. That means they can be attended from the comfort of your own home and from anywhere in the world.

 

After the session, I will give you a short, personalised recording that you get to keep and listen to for 21 days (clients often like to listen to it for more!). This helps complete the process of building new neural pathways and anchoring in the profound changes that have taken place during the session.

How does Rapid Transformational Therapy® differ from other methods ?

Do you feel that you have tried everything, but still get stuck in the same patterns of unhealthy behaviour and/or self-limiting thoughts and beliefs? That is because you may have been trying to address the issue on an intellectual (conscious) level only.

 

RTT® differs from other therapy in that it helps you uncover the root cause of why you feel the way that you do. It takes you on a powerful journey into your subconscious mind, where, with the help of a trained practitioner, you are in an ideal state to, firstly, gain awareness around the origin of the beliefs and behaviours that have led to the issue and, secondly, rewire your brain to adopt a more empowering belief system.

With the subconscious mind controlling up to 95% of our daily behaviour and thoughts, is it any wonder that this method is so effective?

The analogy of an iceberg, with the conscious mind representing the 5% visible portion on the surface, and the subconscious mind the remaining 95% hidden underneath, is apt. Working only with the visible part makes it extremely difficult to bring about lasting change.

 

This is because there is a much stronger and, at times, contradictory force operating underneath. Even though  through hard work and determination we may initially achieve some level of success, the natural tendency is to revert to the old ways. This helps explain the phenomenon of yo-yo dieting, or why quitting smoking can be so hard. When you instead target the subconscious mind – the 95 % lying below the surface – as RTT® does, permanent change happens spontaneously and seemingly effortlessly.

 

Hypnosis allows the brain to enter the alpha and theta brainwave states that are necessary to communicate with the subconscious. It is therefore an effective tool to help bring about permanent change.

 

Working with the subconscious mind has been recognised as key to achieving long term happiness and success. RTT® differs from more traditional forms of hypnotherapy in that it does not rely solely on positive reinforcement. 

 

  • Does it work?
    Yes! I would not be doing it otherwise.
  • How long does it take?
    Each Rapid Transformational Therapy session lasts between 90 minutes to 2 hours.
  • What does a session feel like?
    The experience feels different for different people. Some people feel a floating sensation, others do not. Some get sleepy, others do not. Most people feel relaxed and at ease, similar to a deepened version of the state one can experience in meditation. What is most important is to know that how you feel is not an indicator of how effective the session is. Regardless of what it feels like, it is working. I promise!
  • Does it work online?
    Yes! RTT is just as effective online as it is in person, which means you can experience RTT from the comfort and convenience of your own home. I deliver most of my sessions online via Zoom to clients all around the world.
  • Can I get "stuck" or be made to do anything I don't want to do in hypnosis?
    No! RTT is not stage hypnosis. I can't make you cluck like a chicken or do anything you don't want to do and/or that would compromise your values. You are in complete control at all time, with a heightened sense of awareness. You can talk, move your body, open your eyes and even get up and leave if you wish.
  • How does it work?
    Hypnosis is not magic - it is science. It works by creating a burst of brain waves that are the same as when you are in REM. That is what allows you to access the subconscious mind. With an experienced RTT practitioner, you will see how easily you can bring yourself to that state.
  • What if I think I already know the reason(s) behind my issue(s)?
    Any previous insight may be helpful. However, RTT recognises that if you could solve the problem at the intellectual level, you probably would have already. Clients are often surprised to discover through an RTT session that the root cause behind their issue(s) is typically different - at times very much so - from what they initially thought. This helps explain why they have not been able to shift the pattern until now. This deep dive into the subconscious also allows for the meaning behind the relevant events that have taken place to be changed, so that more empowering beliefs can be effectively installed.
  • When will I start to see changes?
    One to three sessions is generally sufficient to produce lasting changes. Changes can be immediate: you feel a massive shift in your body, thoughts and behaviours straight away; or they can be incremental: you see consistent shifts every day or over time.
